Criteria Corp Sees Strong Demand for Computer Literacy Testing
LOS ANGELES, CA - Criteria Corp, a leading provider of pre-employment testing services, announced today that the Computer Literacy and Internet Knowledge Test (CLIK) has been administered over 20,000 times since its launch six months ago. "The CLIK has quickly become one of our most popular tests," said Josh Millet, Criteria Corp CEO. "The response from our customers so far has been tremendous."
"Many test publishers seem to be moving in the direction of creating increasingly specific computer skills tests that measure proficiency with particular applications, such as QuickBooks or PowerPoint. While there's certainly a place for those kinds of tests, many employers are concerned with the more fundamental question of basic computer literacy. They want to know, can job applicants use email? Can they retrieve relevant information using Google? Are they familiar with how to use a web browser? We developed the CLIK because our customers were telling us they wanted a quick way to assess these basic computer skills that are often taken for granted."
Criteria Corp has also conducted a study of the rates of computer literacy using data from the CLIK, and expects to announce the findings of the study soon.
